I read the Falcon issue. It was good. And it had a nice short classic reprint in the back. So I felt like the value was there. PLUS... you left out the best part, which was that Grey Gargoyle fight scene from the beginning!
BUT... in regards to your one-shot buying habits... now that I've stopped following a lot of monthly books, I'm all about one-shots! In fact, I prefer them. It's a nice way to get a self-contained story without having to follow an entire story arc. I understand where you're coming from, because I used to shop that way. But basically all I'm saying is that I think Marvel still does the one-shots because it works for readers like me.
