Comic Book Pitt #67 - The New Guy

WHO IS NERDY ENOUGH TO JOIN OUR RANKS?

One man took up the challenge to become the first new member of Comic Book Pitt since it's inception. One of our first listeners and good friend, Jeff Moreci, is our new co-host and he'll be alternating weeks with the Duke.

In this episode, Jeff and Dang have one long conversation, first catching Jeff up on DC's "The New 52" project and then talking about digital comics, independent comics, selling off comics, repurchasing comics we sold, and seller's remorse.

NEW CONTEST!

Our new co-host needs a nickname, but to make things more fun, we all want new nicknames. The twist is, they have to be in the style of the old Marvel Bullpen as perfected by Stan 'The Man' Lee. He anointed creators with such names as Merry Gerry Conway, Gentleman Gene Colan (or Gene 'the Dean' Colan), Sturdy Steve Ditko, Rascally Roy Thomas, Jazzy John Romita and of course, Jack 'King' Kirby.

Your mission, should you choose to accept it, is to come up with the nicknames for Dan, Scott and Jeff in the style of the old Marvel Bullpen. The prize will be announced on next week's show.

The deadline is 12:00am, July 31st, 2011. Email your submissions to comicbookpitt@gmail.com.

I just want to point out that Jeff looked at a bunch of ROM issues in my boxes @ Steel City Con and didn't buy any of them. I think there was even a high grade #1 in there, which he pledged to buy if he found it.

"Lemme see dat list!"

Kick this new guy off the show, he's terrible. ;)

- They can tell if you're selling something by requesting a photograph of the item with your username in the shot on a piece of paper, granted you could try and photoshop it, but, still.
