Pittsburgh is fortunate to have a great community of comic book stores, creators and organizations that support that community. One of those exemplary organizations is The Toonseum, one of three museums in the United States solely devoted to the art and history of comics and animation.

STRIPPED: The Comics Documentary

STRIPPED is a project that is way past due. Webcomic creator Dave Kellett (Sheldon, Drive) and filmmaker Fred Schroeder have put together a documentary interviewing 60 comic creators, from both print and web, about cartooning as an industry, an art form and a passion, including thoughts on the past, present and future of their chosen profession.

Now the project is ready for the post-production phase, which is where their Kickstarter campaign comes in. Dave and Fred need help to take this film the rest of the way, so check out the trailer and visit their page to learn more about how you can help.

The Walking Dead Season 2: New Teaser Videos

Despite all the recent behind-the-scenes drama swirling around this show, I still think it's safe to say that the second season of TWD is going to be twice as amazing as the first season.

The Amazing Spider-Man (2012) Teaser Trailer

It's been a great time to be a fanboy. First, we had the teaser for The Dark Knight Rises, then we got our first look at Season 2 of The Walking Dead, then the post-credit scene from Captain America was leaked online featuring our first look at The Avengers and now the official teaser for The Amazing Spider-Man has hit the internet.

I'll be the first to admit, despite the sheer star power in this movie, I wasn't thrilled about a reboot, but I'll also admit that this teaser has me a little excited.

I still hate the new costume though.

Mikey Wood's Space Monkey Comics has been part of Pittsburgh's indie comic scene for many years with such works as Solitaire, Hate Your Friends, Love in a Time of Super Heroes, Pack of Lies and most recently, Doc Rocket. On a personal note, he was also the first guest that we ever had on CBP, waaaay back in Episode 10. If you missed that episode, do yourself a favor and listen to it, it was a lot of fun.

Mikey is also a regular fixture at the Pittsburgh Comicon so it was great to get to talk to him again.
