Belated comments from Link:

- Duke, I know you didn't say it was for everyone, but the direct parallel for recognition is that Dick Grayson should be Robin if we're going off public perception. But it's not, and all 4 Robins had a spot, and only 1 of the Batgirls had a spot. I think that's what got everyone riled up in the first place about "Where's so & so..." also, I implore you to keep reading Batgirl beyond the first couple of issues, I don't think the series really found its voice until maybe issue 7 or 8 after it was done pulling out of the Batman RIP shadow.

- Ms. Marvel is a book I picked up during it's end around the Dark Reign era, and I thought it was pretty great. Spider-Girl as well. But, I do agree that DC has better female characters, it's just that sometimes they don't know what the heck to do with them or just bench them instead of giving them their own titles.

- The Young Avengers agreement is the same as Runaways. I asked McKeever about it and said he should write those characters sometime, but it sounds like until whatever happened in that canceled series is resolved that Runaways are just off limits.

- I also talked to McKeever about Youth in Revolt, and the big idea at Marvel is that all series should get tied/launched into a big event/banner. Which doesn't seem to be very successful honestly... Captain Britain, Agents of Atlas, Hawkeye & Mockingbird? Not having much faith in Ghost Rider or Alpha Flight.

- Fear Itself is just terrible. The only tie-ins I even enjoy are Thunderbolts (sometimes) Avengers Academy, Youth in Revolt, all the Secret Avenger tie-ins, Homefront, and 1000% enjoying Journey into Mystery because it's ACTUALLY about something. Instead of hammers and fight scenes it's what the Asgardians are afraid of, who this big bad Serpent guy is, etc. Almost everything else is just a mess, and you know how you can tell it's a mess? Spider-Island and Spider-Man were just like "Forget Fear Itself." and are taking place post-event right now. What's funny is that it took Steve Rogers less than like... 1 hour to grab the shield and dress up as Cap.

- Don't you dare talk bad about those Subway comics. They are almost as good as those Fruit Pie comics from back in the day, they are a laugh riot.

- I haven't even read it yet but... Death of Spider-Man, why didn't we kill him during Ultimatum? What the fuck? Why keep the series around on life support for a year?
